STEP 3:It’s important that all Australian women are aware of the risks of cervical cancer and the need for regular Pap tests to avoid it.
The National Cervical Screening Program has developed a brochure “When did you last have a Pap smear” in 35 languages. This brochure is available to download/view below, or for order on the National cervical Screening Program website.
Women looking for information in Arabic, Chinese or Vietnamese can find additional information on our Culturally and Linguistically Diverse language pages by following the language links.
Interpreters are available to help make Pap test appointments and attend the appointments. Women can call Translating and Interpreting Services on 13 14 50 to make a request, and are also encouraged to bring a friend or family member to the appointment.
